Okenagan Classic Thunderbird Car Club

Monday, May 31st, 2010 between 12 Noon and 1:30pm

The Okanagan Classic Thunderbird Car Club are pausing on their trek to Alaska, for a lunch break at Historic Hat Creek Ranch. They expect to have 30 or 40 of these classic cars in our parking lot for this short stop over. We invited you to drop in and admire these classics with us.

 
 
 

Draft Horse Demonstration & Community Day

Saturday, June 12th, 2010

This popular annual event starts at 10:00 a.m. with the hitching up of the horses and continues until mid-afternoon.  Watch how the hay was harvested during the late 1800s using strong draft horse teams and vintage machinery. Historic Hat Creek Ranch is also proud to host its “Community Day” on the same day, offering local residents free admission to the historic site.

 
 
 

Classic Car Club of America

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

On Thursday June 24th approximately 50 Vintage Cars of the Classic Car Club of America tour will be at the ranch on their way from Kelowna to Whistler. These cars are from the Twenties and Thirties including Packard, Cadillac, Lincoln, Duesenberg, Rolls-Royce etc. A late morning stop over will be made at HHCR between 11:00 - 12:30, please feel free to come out, bring your camera and enjoy these classic vintage vehicles with us.

 
 
 

Historic Hat Creek Ranch Rodeo

Saturday, July 10th & Sunday, July 11th, 2010

Historic Hat Creek Ranch, located 10km north of Cache Creek, BC, hosts a Ranch Rodeo to honour and commemorate the rich cowboy and ranching history of our area. Ranching continues to be an important part of the area’s economy, and will be brought to life through various cowboy skills.

As well as the Rodeo events there will be a Dinner from 5.00 – 7.00 and Dance in the Hay Shed from 8.00 – 11pm. For more information please contact the Ranch.

 
 
 

Traditional Bonaparte Pow Wow

Friday, August 6th to Sunday, August 8th, 2010

First Nations drummers, dancers and singers in colourful regalia celebrate their heritage at this three-day event, starting at noon each day. Visitors are invited to participate in certain dances, crafters display a variety of authentic hand-made items to treasure, and a selection of Native Cuisine is offered which will tantalize your taste buds.
